About the Founder

Welcome to Seeds4Purpose, where my story meets a mission of healing, transformation, and growth. This endeavor was born from the crucible of life’s trials and tribulations, a testament to the incredible power of faith and the love of God to overcome adversity.

“My story is not unique; it echoes the experiences of countless individuals who struggle to break free from the shackles of childhood trauma.”

The journey that led to Seeds4Purpose began with the scars of an upbringing marked by the absence of proper parenting and the heartache intertwined with the parenting I did receive. Many assume that once we reach adulthood, these wounds should magically disappear, but I can attest that this couldn’t be further from the truth. The haunting specter of generational trauma is a real and enduring presence in our lives, and I, like so many, have grappled with its weight.

My story is not unique; it echoes the experiences of countless individuals who struggle to break free from the shackles of childhood trauma. I remained oblivious to the anger festering within me, directed at my parents, at God, and at the world, until I hit a wall in 2013. I found myself mired in a life that mirrored the one I sought to escape, manifesting in my parenting, self-confidence, lack of boundaries, and unhealthy habits. I yearned for something better, not just for myself but for my children and my community, all of whom were enduring their own silent battles.

My journey toward transformation began with forgiveness. I had spent far too long using my past as an excuse, a crutch preventing me from becoming the person I was meant to be. I had to embrace accountability, acknowledging that there were actions I could have taken to improve my situation. Many of us have had our worldviews and identities shaped by unstable foundations, shaped by external influences rather than the intrinsic goodness instilled in us by our Creator.

Unearthing the pain, confronting it head-on, was a messy and uncomfortable process, but it was necessary for healing to begin. Every day, I embark on a journey of self-improvement, striving to be the best version of myself while extending a helping hand to others on their path to personal growth. I intimately understand the confusion and uncertainty that can accompany the quest for a brighter future.

My mission is clear: to guide others, step by step, towards wholeness. I am not only a mother to three wonderful daughters but also the Adult Division Director for Mother’s of Murdered Columbus Children. As an author and community activist, I am committed to being the change I wish to see in the world.

Seeds4Purpose is more than a website; it’s a sanctuary for those seeking healing, transformation, and purpose. Join me on this journey of self-discovery, growth, and empowerment, and together, we’ll sow the seeds of purpose, nurturing them until they flourish into a life of wholeness and fulfillment.

The two boys were caught by police together three weeks ago, but one is still on the run. “It’s heartbreaking,” said Jene Patrick of Mothers of Murdered Columbus Children. “Every time I hear it, it is like a punch to the gut because I think about my own children.”

Although youth firearm-related deaths dropped by 50% from 2021, Jene’ Patrick, community support volunteer lead with Mothers of Murdered Columbus Children, said one homicide is and will always be too many.

“To them, death is becoming a trend, a habit,” Patrick said. “These young men and these young women are going to funerals, and their whole conversation is them being next because, to them, it’s normal. Most of them don’t see themselves living past 20 or 21.”

Mom Jene’ Partick is busy with her own family and trying to help others. She does violence intervention work and volunteers with Mothers of Murdered Columbus Children after losing some of her own family members to gun violence.

“I think we definitely need stricter gun laws,” she said. “I believe that is definitely a thing to do. I believe that is not the only problem we have. I think there are layers of problems that we have, that is why I think it takes a community, teachers, the police officers, everybody. It is a collective effort.”
